Yet, do not fall into the error of believing that your chosen approach alone is true and that every other approach is false. Advaita Vedānta teaches us to see beyond such divisions. The One Reality may be approached through contemplation of the formless Brahman, and it may also be worshipped as Īśvara, the Divine apprehended through name, form, and attributes. These approaches belong to different levels of spiritual understanding, yet both can serve the aspirant on the journey towards Self-knowledge.
Therefore, follow the form of spiritual practice that genuinely calls your heart. Worship your chosen form of God, contemplate the formless, meditate upon the Self, or pursue the path of knowledge —with sincerity, discrimination, humility, and steadfastness.
But never mistake your particular doorway for the entirety of Truth.
The highest vision of Advaita is not that one form defeats another, nor that one spiritual path must condemn another. It is the recognition that Brahman is
one, nondual, infinite, and beyond every limiting conception. As the
Upaniṣadic teaching declares, “That is the Real; That is the Self; That thou art” (tat tvam asi).
Hold firmly to your chosen path but hold it without hatred for another’s path. Let devotion deepen into knowledge, let knowledge mature into humility, and let faith ultimately lead you beyond every narrow identification.
Walk your path with unwavering conviction—but never with arrogance. Seek Truth wholeheartedly yet remain humble before the Infinite.
